Affinity Swim offers a range of programs and services to people of all ages and abilities. We are passionate about helping you gain water confidence and a new safety skill with our programs including, swimming lessons, hydrotherapy and water workout classes. Whether you want to give your baby a head start with our early learning program or simply get fit with water exercises, join any of our classes and achieve your individual goals.

LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM

At Affinity swim we strive to provide the professionalism and friendliest service that you would expect from a great swim school. Our small classes, allows us to give quality time with your child and provides value for money. Our pool is fully enclosed and heated, so we are able to swim comfortably all year round.

BABY CLASSES

From 5-6 months old we have a specialized program for our babies to take them from water awareness to going into the pool without parents. Our program gives them the time to develop the necessary skills to be able to move up without parents with no stress.

LEARN TO SWIM CLASSES

From 3yrs to squad levels. Starting from water safety & confidence to correct body position. Then learning the four different strokes,
getting stroke development and correction leading up to squad and competition.

We also offer 1 on 1 classes to achieve that special gold.

HYDROTHERAPY

Recover quickly after your operation with our hydrotherapy. Supervised by our fully qualified teachers, each session consists of exercises that reduce pain and increase muscle strength to help you recover faster.

With water supporting your body, you can achieve bigger range of motion without fear of falling over. Whether you have arthritis or recovering from a knee reconstruction, we’re happy to assist and help you get better.

LAP SWIMMING AND HYDRO

This is a great opportunity to get fit and recover quickly after major surgery.
The water supports your body so that there is no impact on the recovering area, which enables you to exercise with less pain.


Please be advised that there will be no hydro/lap swimming on Tuesdays. The Tuesdays sessions will recommence on 28th March 2023 and a new time of 10:30am -11:30am will be implemented.


Monday – 7:00am to 8:30am
Tuesday – 10:30am to 11:30am
Wednesday - 7:00am to 8:30am
Thursday – 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Friday - 7:00am to 8:30am

Cost: Casual - $4-00 Card - $40-00

WATER WORKOUT CLASSES

Open to all fitness levels from beginners to professional athletes, our water workout classes will leave you energised. We do water aerobics and structured exercises that gets your cardio up and increase your physical fitness. It’s also perfect for all ages up to 90-years-old, as it gives no pressure on the the joints. Join a simple exercise or high intensity training for an hour and experience lots of fun.

Monday - 5:45pm to 6:45pm
Tuesday - 6:15pm to 7:15pm
Wednesday - 11:00am to 12:00pm & 6:15pm-7:15pm
Thursday - 12pm to 1:00pm & 5:45pm to 6:45pm
Saturday - 7:00am to 8:00am

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • When can a child start to swim?

    From 12 to 18 months, children can start to swim unaided in short distances. At 18 to 24 months, they can start getting out of the pool and slowly swim for longer distances. Keep in mind that all babies develop at different times. It’s important to make the learning process fun and safe so they can discover their own abilities independently.

  • Is swimming good for toddlers?

    Yes. Apart from developing their muscles, it also improves the strength of their heart and lungs as well as improve their sleeping patterns. The extra exercise will make them sleepier and help them get a good rest through the night.


  • How long does it take to learn to swim?

    It takes an average of 20 hours to learn basic swimming skills. However, it will take more time if you need to gain water confidence. It will help if you join group swimming classes, take it slowly and have fun so you can get comfortable in and around the water.


  • How does hydrotherapy help my arthritis?

    Hydrotherapy helps your muscles relax and reduce the pain in your joints. The water allows you to have a bigger range of movement and is kinder to your joints such as ankles and knees. Breathing exercises also improve the function of your circulatory and respiratory system.


  • Can swimming help me lose weight?

    Yes, it helps you burn calories and fat as well as build your strength and endurance. It is easier on your joints and muscles, making it great activity in reducing your pain from arthritis or any healing injury.
